Dieses abgefahrene Debut-E-Mountainbike ist ein Exot auf dem Trail

The Boös is Unno’s first e-mountain bike and stands out with its special frame. The bike falls into the E-Enduro category and could become a hit with riders on aggressive routes due to its stiffness.

The Spanish manufacturer has already made a name for itself with its exotic designs for its bikes, but they don’t always appeal to everyone’s taste. There should also be a few raised eyebrows with the Boös, especially because of the low entry.

Unconventional geometry with a low entry

The engineers at Unno are said to have developed and experimented for around four years until the Boös was finally created. The claim was high, after all the Catalan manufacturer describes itself as a pioneer of geometry. So the eMTB has left plenty of space between the rider and the frame for aggressive riding. The down tube is pulled down very low, the golden seat tube rises up and is intended to ensure flexible riding behavior.

With its carbon frame, the manufacturer promises good handling when Boös. Double-row bearings should provide the necessary stiffness , the driver should be able to master steep descents with fun. Incidentally, the striking e-mountain bike is named after the highest mountain on Jupiter’s moon Io. You obviously want to aim high.

Bosch drive and cleverly integrated Kiox 300 display

The Boös is powered by the Bosch Performance Line CX Smart System and a large 750 Wh battery. The Bosch mid-engine is designed for trail riding and achieves a maximum torque of 85 Newton meters. In order to keep the design slim, Unno installed the battery and Bosch drive directly behind one another in the down tube. A specially developed motor protection protects against shocks and impacts.

Another highlight of the Boös is the recently renewed Kiox-300 on-board computer , which is attached to the top tube in front of the handlebars. It can be removed so that it is not exposed to adverse conditions on the trail. A novelty that has never existed before.

Sustainable carbon frame

Unno also focuses on sustainability: All parts of the Boös frame are made from recycled plastic and rubber. The Spanish manufacturer works with Oceanworks for this. Oceanworks collects marine waste and processes it into sustainable plastic.

The 22.6 kilogram e-mountain bike boasts a chain guide developed by the manufacturer. Strong Formula Cura disc brakes ensure effective braking on steep descents . The radio- controlled Sram GX AXS shifter with twelve gears and 500 percent range comes into its own on the ascent.
