Owner Spotlight Featuring Paulina Wellness (@paulina.wellness), a Los Angeles, California native and recent SONDORS convert.
“My husband and I purchased two matching Sondors MXS electric mountain bikes and we could not possibly be happier with the bikes or the overall experience. We have found a wonderful way to explore places in California that we would never have been able to access without the pedal assist and we like knowing that they are both well built and affordable. Because the design is unique, almost everyone we bump into asks about them, and we love telling our story.”
What’s your favorite thing about your SONDORS?
We love the ability to go for longer rides while balancing fitness and leisure riding at will. With pedal assist, we can also tackle more challenging terrain which in turn has opened up great opportunities for us to explore more remote parts of Southern California.
Where is your favorite place to ride?
Mountain trails, OHV forest access roads and state parks.
In what way has being a SONDORS owner impacted your life the most?
My husband and I have found a healthy workout that we can commit to and enjoy together, while being outside in nature and experiencing the less traveled places that California tourists often can’t experience.
What type of rider would you describe yourself as?
What SONDORS do you ride?
My husband & I ride “Ghost White” MXS
What’s your most memorable SONDORS adventure?
Trying the “Fullerton Loop Trail” in Orange County which is a moderate all-terrain trail with widely varying conditions. Without e-bikes we would likely not have attempted that on one of our first trips, but we made it through easily – even after getting lost!
Is there anything about your SONDORS that surprised you?
The bikes are amazingly well built for the price and we have been pleasantly surprised with their performance and comfort on the paved road – especially for mountain bikes.
What advice would you give someone who is hesitant about riding an e-bike?
Buy one! It opens up places that you never would consider exploring and of course, they are fun!
