KTM and Brabus have formed a new partnership to build next-generation motorcycles, using their capabilities and merging both companies’ creativity, unique design languages, technical engineering, and manufacturing competence. The Brabus 1300R is the first outcome, featuring a distinctive luxury naked bike design created for enthusiasts with a keen eye for detail. The Brabus 1300R delivers a distinctive ‘Black and Bold’ appearance, unyielding power, and exclusivity and is defined at its core by the unique styling cues of Brabus supercars, the highest-grade materials, and finishes, as well as the pounding heart of the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO platform.


The Brabus 1300R is a beast on two wheels produced by the giants of the industry, KTM, and Brabus. The bike comprises the best of both automakers, with an aggressive styling and beast-like performance.

The Brabus 1300R is available in Magma Red and Signature Black. Each skin tone is limited to only 77 units, and as per the company, all units have been pre-booked. The bright LED headlight in the front grabs the onlooker’s attention right away. Lightweight Brabus Monoblock Z emphasizes the bike’s athletic aesthetics forged wheels created particularly for this model, while the heated seat delivers a unique blend of riding pleasure and elegance.


The Brabus 1300R is based substantially on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R. The engine is identical, with new air intakes on either side of the tank and a new, stacked exhaust system with a black ceramic finish meant to resemble some designs seen on Brabus cars.

The frame, 4.2-gallon steel gasoline tank, and single-sided swingarm are all Super Duke elements shared with the Super Duke R. The suspension, which is the new WP Apex SAT semi-active system, debuted on the Super Duke R Evo for 2022, is the same tale. In addition to semi-active damping, the Brabus 1300R has the Suspension Pro system, which allows the rider to adjust the rear ride height from the TFT dash with Low, Standard, or High settings.


The main aesthetic distinction on the Brabus motorcycle is its nose, which consists of a carbon cowl above a round headlamp sourced from the Husqvarna parts bin and emblazoned with yet another Brabus emblem. Carbon air intakes emerge from the tank sidewalls on both sides, giving it a completely distinct look from the Super Duke R.

Another carbon panel sits on top of the tank, with a numbered badge for each Brabus 1300R model. Mirrors dangle from the ends of the adjustable-position bars, which are mounted on billet aluminum triple clamps to keep the nose profile low. There’s even more carbon in the front fender and brake air ducts, which are taken from the Super Duke RR.

The Brabus 1300R is equipped with cutting-edge tech. The bike has unique traction control, anti-wheelie technology, and adjustable driving modes that adapt to any condition or personality for optimal control. These advancements have been fine-tuned to deliver more exact engine input and better intervention from the safety systems. The Quickshifter+ is more responsive, and the traction control and anti-wheelie feature give straightforward feedback. Switches quickly access all settings, and all data is shown on a huge, full-color TFT display.

The TFT instrument has been improved for the Brabus 1300R, which gains a new splash screen on startup to display the Brabus logo. The remainder of the electronics are from the newest Super Duke R Evo, featuring engine-brake control, cruise control, switchable Supermoto ABS, keyless start, self-canceling turn signals, tire pressure monitors, and an assortment of riding modes including Rain, Street, Sport, Track, and Performance.

Comfort, Street, Sport, Track, Advanced, and Auto are the six damping modes available on the semi-active WP Apex suspension. Furthermore, rear spring preload may be adjusted within a 20mm range using the menu on the 5-inch TFT dash upfront. Riders who enjoy tinkering with every detail can choose from eight dampening level settings in the Advanced mode. Meanwhile, the Auto setting is there to think of riders who want to get out and enjoy the ride.

Additionally, three automatic preload auto-leveling settings are included as standard and adjust automatically to fit a rider’s weight, including pillion compensation as needed. A switchable anti-dive option is also available. The wheels are a pair of stunning Brabus Monoblock Z 9-spoke forged 17-inch rims wrapped in Bridgestone S22 Battlax tires. The front brakes are a pair of 320mm floating discs with Brembo Stylema 4-piston calipers, while the rear brakes are a single 240mm disc with a Brembo two-piston caliper. Cornering ABS and Supermoto ABS are included as standard features.

The Brabus 1300R’s powertrain, the LC8 1.3-liter V-twin engine, is based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo and delivers 180 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 103 lb-ft of torque at 8,000 rpm. The claimed time to go from 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds. Standard equipment includes a hydraulically controlled PASC slipper clutch.

The Brabus 1300R has a maximum speed of 170 mph. The engine is mated with a six-speed gearbox and exhales through a Brabus-specific double-pipe exhaust system.

The base price of the Brabus 1300R shall be around $58000 in the United States. All the first 154 units of the 1300R are already pre-booked, but upcoming customers can still lodge their orders, which will be put on a waiting list. The Brabus chose the initial number of 77 units to honor the year the company started its journey, which was 1977.
